Which of the suggested Tasks from Writing Arguments did you find most helpful in pre-writing your revision? Why?
Writing Arguments present some exploratory ideas techniques: Free Writing, Idea Mapping, Believing and Doubting Game, and Brainstorming Pro and Con Because Clauses. Idea mapping fits in the learning style of visual/spatial people, it is easier to work as pre-writing strategy because is no room for worries in this technique, we can display what is in our mind by creating a web of ideas and questions about a topic of interest. ESL writers would find this strategy less stressful like will occur when we try to avoid grammar errors, possible run-ons, and is quite fun to work with. Having the main idea or tentative title in the center allows us the formulation of a variety of sections or subtopics and the supportive ideas of our thesis as branches. Each branch has subdivisions that will vary according of the relevance of the essay. Idea mapping is always a nice blueprint for other strategies such as free-writing, and pros and cons because clauses. This will bring us back and forth between these writing tactics, which is always good since we can see where we missed a point or what tentative idea
